Invest in Spain renews as Institutional Partner for WFS 2019 1117 455 World Football Summit

World Football Summit and Invest in Spain have renewed their agreement under which the official Trade and Exchange Institute will continue to be Institutional Partner for WFS.

Invest in Spain is part of Spain’s Foreign Trade Institute and it is responsible for attracting foreign investors and companies from different sectors to the country. It first partnered with WFS in 2018, when they chose our event as their main platform to establish contacts with the football and sports industry’s main stakeholders.

The first experience fulfilled their expectations and Invest in Spain has decided to keep on board in order to strengthen links with an industry of capital importance for the country’s economy.

Football is a key sector in Spain as it equals almost 1,4 percent of its Gross Domestic Product and generates nearly 150,000 employments. Sports tourism is also a major wealth generator, as Spain is a worldwide leading destination for football clubs, golfers, climbers, etc.

At WFS we firmly believe that Spain has the potential to consolidate -if it’s not already- as a global hub for the football and sports industry and we aim to contribute in that direction. That’s why we are delighted to partner with Invest in Spain and to serve as a platform to showcase the huge opportunities that the country can provide for the different stakeholders.
