Mark Taviner

Mark Taviner joined Sports Alliance as one of the 4 founders in 2002. He is currently Chief Strategy Office, responsible for product strategy and analytics, as well as overseeing operations in Sports Alliance Spain, Portugal and Latin America. Until 2018 he was Chief Operating Office, responsible for overall platform and product strategy and development, including the development of in-house technologies in Microsoft tools for Data Management, user applications for Marketing, the implementation of Tableau for BI, predictive modelling in R / SQL Server, an end-to-end Sports Single Sign On solution for digital identity management, and platform and operational migration to Microsoft Azure. His key focus currently is on Predictive Modelling and AI in Supporter Marketing, and integrating Digital and real-world supporter behaviour. Mark continues to be involved in client projects that require broad strategic, commercial and technical experience, such as Stadium Migrations or ‘Big Data’ modelling. Previously he worked in Digital Marketing in Omnicom and WPP companies in London during the ‘dotcom’ years 1999 – 2002. Before this Mark was an academic historian, holding a 1st Class Degree in History and a Masters in Renaissance Literature from Cambridge University, and a PhD in Elizabethan Political culture and history from St Andrew’s University, United Kingdom.
