CEO – Real Valladolid

Matthieu Fenaert

Before joining Real Valladolid C.F. Fenaert spent more than ten years with Octagon, the world’s largest sports & entertainment agency, where he became Executive Director and worked in three different offices around the globe (Rio de Janeiro, Moscow and Tokyo) leading sponsors campaigns for the last FIFA World Cup and Summer Olympics cycles for blue chips such as Budweiser, Cisco, Johnson & Johnson or Qatar Airways among others. Fenaert joined Real Valladolid C.F. in November last year, two months after Ronaldo Nazário became majority shareholder. He was initially appointed the club’s commercial director and was tasked with establishing a new commercial office in Madrid to be closer to major brands and potential sponsors. On August this year Fenaert has been promoted to chief executive officer. The French executive took over the day-to-day running of the club from former owner Carlos Suárez, who agreed to remain in position to help with the transition under the new ownership.
