Ornella is the Head of Professional Football at FIFA. She has a legal background and extensive international experience in the global sports industry, having worked for football clubs, leading law firms and sport institutions in five different countries. Ornella holds an MBA in Sports Management and an LL.M. in International Sports Law. In the academic field, she is a lecturer at several sports management masters, co-editor of sports law books and also a speaker at international conferences and events. She speaks Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese. Previously, Ornella was the Head of Legal Affairs at the European Leagues, while serving as a judge for the FIFA Players’ Status Sub-Committee.
