Iván Alonso’s story is an example of dedication, effort, and constant improvement. He made his mark in Uruguay, Mexico, and Spain where he was the key protagonist in one of the most unforgettable European Cup Finals between Alavés and Liverpool in 2001. Twice the top scorer in the Mexican league, as well as the top scorer in the Uruguayan league and a symbol Club Nacional of Uruguay. He finished his prosperous career at the mighty River Plate of Argentina. In December 2019 he assumed as General Manager at Club Nacional de Football (Uruguay).
