Yon de Luisa

Yon, became President of the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (“FMF”) last July 15th, 2018, after been appointed unanimously by the FMF Board.

In his former role as Vice-President of Sports for Grupo Televisa, biggest Hispanic Speaking Media Company based in Mexico City, Yon de Luisa was responsible for all sports programs and transmissions on Open as well as Pay TV Chanels, Club America soccer team, and Estadio Azteca.

After graduating from Civil Engineering from Universidad Iberomaericana, Yon pursued his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. Before being involved in the sports industry, Yon worked over a decade in the Finance Sector and as a General Manager. During the last 13 years, Yon has been involved in managing soccer teams, stadiums, and participating in FIFA and CONCACAF events as a General Coordinator, and as the Director of the Local Organizing Committee for the FIFA U17 World Cup Mexico 2011. Yon was México’s Bid Director for the United Bid 2026.
