WFS EUROPE SPOTLIGHT: Meet the partners

WFS EUROPE SPOTLIGHT: Meet the partners 1920 1080 World Football Summit

With the fifth edition of WFS Europe fast approaching, we shine a spotlight on our partners that are helping us deliver this year’s event.

At WFS we are proud to be partnered with some of the biggest names in the industry, many of whom are returning partners who have accompanied us in previous editions.

Our Global Partner, LaLiga, is one of those who have been there since the very beginning when the league’s President, Javier Tebas, attended the first edition of World Football Summit in 2016 before our ongoing partnership was formalised the following year.

LaLiga have played a central role at every subsequent WFS event, with key figures throughout the organisation helping us drive the industry forward through their formidable presence – either on the stage or behind the scenes.

We’re also thrilled to once more be joined by Santander as a Corporate Partner. Santander have been a major force within sport through its sponsorships and investments, and they bring to the table an innovative approach to the sport. This September will see them host a panel on the Wanda Metropolitano main stage, that you will not want to miss.

The Johan Cruyff Institute are another long-term partner of WFS that returns as Academic Partner for WFS21. The Institute prepares the next generation of sports leaders, and is where over 9,000 students from around the globe have enrolled on programmes on Sports Management, Sports Marketing, Sponsorship, Coaching and Football Business.

Meanwhile, and in anticipation of the inaugural Congreso de Fútbol de las Americas, WFS is excited to work with new Corporate Partner; the Federación Costarricense de Fútbol (FEDEFUTBOL) – the Costa Rican Football Federation. This will serve as the perfect pre-cursor ahead of our first foray into the Americas, alongside FEDEFUTBOL, at the Congreso de Fütbol de las Americas.

Joining us as Conference Partner for this year’s first-ever hybrid event is NTT Data, a trusted global innovator of IT and business services. Attendees will be able to hear straight from the horse’s mouth about the innovative solutions NTT Data has to offer in a special panel organised by NTT Data.

Specialist sports consultancy Portas Consulting are building on their involvement at WFS Live by now committing to WFS Europe as Industry Partners. The global firm of expert consultants advises sports properties on the most complex issues and opportunities facing the sector and attendees will be able to learn from their insights in person at Portas’ main stage discussion.

Attendees looking for a place to stay in Madrid should look no further than our Accommodation Partner VP Hoteles, who have no fewer than four hotels in the Spanish capital, and all of which are available at a discounted rate for event attendees, HERE.

This year’s event would of course not be possible without the support of our colleagues from our Co-organiser, Atletico Madrid, whose magnificent Wanda Metropolitano stadium will provide the perfect backdrop for the leaders of the football industry to come together.

At the fifth edition of World Football Summit Europe we will once again be welcoming our various Media Partners who will be providing unrivalled coverage of the event from around the globe and in many different languages. These include well-known and respected names in the industry such as: 2Playbook (Spanish), BeSoccer (Spanish, English, etc.), Calcio e Finanza (Italian), Off The Pitch (English) and Marketing Registrado (Spanish), Half Time (Japanese).
