I have consolidated experience designing, implementing and evaluating multi-stakeholders’ programmes on Sustainable Development and Human Rights. I am especially interested in incorporating the local development perspective through international collaborations, putting people and the planet at the center. I believe that open and transformative participation in the construction of a strong, pluralistic multilateralism that can respond to the great contemporary challenges is essential.
I have 20 years of professional experience in academia, United Nations and civil society organizations, working closely with public institutions and the private sector.
Currently, I am working as a Director at UNtxea, Spain. I regularly participate in multi-stakeholders processes to advance in the #Agenda2030 from a Human Rights perspective, at the local, national and international level.

Naira Rodríguez
I was born on February 19, 2004. As a child, I tried almost every sport, but my main discipline was rhythmic gymnastics. On June 15, 2017, I underwent surgery and suffered a spinal cord injury that left me bedridden for three months, unable to move from the neck down. Little by little, I recovered until I was able to alternate between walking and using a wheelchair.
During that process, I did a lot of rehabilitation and found my club, Zuzenak. At first, I was very reluctant to try wheelchair basketball, but after a year and thanks to my teammates, I gave it a chance and loved it. That same year, in 2019, I started training with the national team and dedicating many hours to it. Since then, I have tried other sports, but this one is undoubtedly my favorite. -
