Alejandro Irarragorri Gutiérrez is of Mexican origin and holds a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Anáhuac, Mexico City. He is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese. He is currently the founder and president of Orlegi Sports, which owns and operates Real Sporting de Gijón, Club Santos Laguna and Atlas FC.

Club Santos Laguna has 6 championships, during Irarragorri’s tenure they have won 4 of those 6. While Club Atlas went 70 years without lifting any championships and since Grupo Orlegi acquired the club in 2019 they have won twice and are reigning champions. Also in the second division of Mexican professional football, Alejandro won 1 championship with La Jaiba Brava de Tampico.
