Maheta Molango

“As of July 2021, Maheta Molango is the new CEO of the Professional Footballers Association, the union which represents the interests of all the professional footballers in the Premier League, Women Super League, Championship, League 1 and League 2 in England.

Previously Maheta was the CEO of Spanish professional football club Real Mallorca. Maheta was appointed CEO of the club in January 2016 after Real Mallorca was bought by a group of US investors led by Robert Sarver and Andy Kohlberg (owners of the Phoenix Suns) and Steve Nash (2-time NBA MVP).

Prior to joining Real Mallorca, Maheta was a lawyer at Baker McKenzie in Madrid (Spain) specialized in labor/employment law as well as sports law, admitted to practice in Spain and New York (USA).

Maheta teaches several courses on a part-time basis at ISDE, Universidad Pontificia Comillas, Centro de Estudios Garrigues, La Liga Business School, UCAM and other universities/educational centers. He is also co-Director of the FIFA Club Management Diploma.

Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Maheta played football at professional level for several European clubs, including F.C. Biel/Bienne (Switzerland), Atletico Madrid (Spain), Wacker Burghausen (Germany) and Brighton & Hove Albion (England).”
