Michael has been a FinTech investor and operator since 2012. He’s a Partner & Co-Founder at Broadhaven Ventures, an early-stage FinTech & crypto VC. He’s also an early investor in Angel City FC. He’s invested in 23 unicorns and 3 decacorns, including Nowports, Republic, Bitso, CoinList, Forge, Pipe, MoMo, iCapital, Klarna, Sorare, and Coupang. Michael is or has been a Board Member at Nowports, Liveoak (acq. DocuSign), Credijusto, Starship, and Super Seguros. He was pre-product employee #8 at unicorn FinTech company, iCapital ($6B EV), and #16 and the first sales hire at Mosaic. Michael was pre-product employee #8 at iCapital, the leading alternative investment access platform with over $180B AUM and a $6B valuation, where he helped build the sales team. He was also the first sales hire at Mosaic, a residential solar lending platform backed by Warburg Pincus. Michael has made 44 crypto investments into companies, tokens, and funds either through Broadhaven Ventures or Sixth Man Capital since 2015. Michael is also a Venture Partner at Goodwater Capital, a $4B consumer tech VC, focusing on FinTech investments. He started his career at Goldman Sachs on their Principal Strategic Investments team. Michael is also the founder of alts focused podcast Alt Goes Mainstream and the co-founder of Community x Capital podcast with Alexis Ohanian. Michael holds a BSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics.
