Startups and entrepreneurs transforming the football industry

A space to meet the most innovative startups focused on the world of sport and football, selected by World Football Summit and the Global Sport Innovation Center powered by Microsoft.

The StartCup will have a space at WFS of approximately one hour in one of the 3 stages of the Congress in which a selection of 7 startups will be able to present their elevator pitch and tell their business idea to the WFS attendees.

World Football Summit will be the ideal showcase for potential investors, partners and buyers. Startups will be able to meet members of the national and international press who can help improve the visibility of their business.

Benefits for the finalists

Selected startups are given the opportunity to present their business to the WFS audience

  •  3 Free WFS tickets for each selected startup
  • Through our Networking Tool, you can close meetings with clubs, federations, companies and large corporations that attend the WFS
  •  Startups will be able to contact private investors, VCs, companies and institutions attending WFS
  • The selected startups will be able to open a round of funding on the Equity Crowdfunding Platform,, where their company will be visible to a platform with more than 8,000 investors.


  •  The jury will decide a winner of the WFStartCup by GSIC and there will be two special mentions
  •  The winner will receive one year of free membership to the Global Sports Innovation Center powered by Microsoft
  •  The two special mentions will get 6 months of free membership to the Global Sports Innovation Center powered by Microsoft
  • GSIC will organize an on-line presentation event of the winner and the special mentions directed to all its local and international ecosystem

Conditions for participating

This event will focus on projects that are more than a mere idea and that meet most of the following criteria:

  • Innovative projects
  • That they are at an average level of demonstrable development with concrete milestones

  • Have passed a first round of funding

  • Have a dedicated full time team

  • That it has potential for international implementation
