The Female Leaders Programme is a key pillar of World Football Summit’s commitment to driving and promoting female leadership and visibility across the football industry. For WFS Madrid’s tenth anniversary edition, our most special event to date, we’re taking that commitment further: more and better content, an expanded workshop offering, and stronger networking opportunities throughout the event.
The Female Leaders Gathering has been the clearest proof of that impact. Held at every WFS edition, it has grown into one of the most anticipated moments on the agenda, a space built specifically for women across the industry to connect and share experience. Its most recent edition, sponsored by Women in Soccer at WFS Mexico City, was no exception.
WFS holds the same commitment on stage, with a 30% female speaker target applied as a baseline across every single panel, not as an average to hit. The Female Leaders Pass extends that commitment to access itself, offering reduced-price entry to the summit to lower the financial barrier to participation And beyond the events themselves, the scholarship programme run with the Johan Cruyff Institute opens the door to specialised football management education for women building a career in the industry.
For Madrid, that foundation gets stronger across content and workshops, and gains a major new addition on the networking side with Women in Sport Leadership Exchange, developed in partnership with CMG, a global agency representing players, coaches, decision-makers and clubs exclusively in women’s football.
Built around fast 8-10 minute rounds, Women in Sport Leadership Exchange by CMG is a curated networking experience designed to bring together senior leaders, executives, entrepreneurs, athletes, board members, rights holders, sponsors, and decision-makers from across the sports ecosystem.
