Liam Parker, Chief Communications and Corporate Relations Officer at Formula 1, will be among the speakers at WFS Madrid 2026, taking place on 15-16 September at La Nave, Madrid.
Parker’s participation comes as Formula 1 becomes the first Guest Sport of WFS Madrid, a new initiative through which WFS opens the summit to sports whose approach to areas of the business, from content and technology to commercial growth and fan engagement, offers relevant synergies for football.
As the inaugural Guest Sport, Formula 1 will have a presence across the conference programme, the expo area and on-site activations throughout the event.
The timing is no coincidence. WFS Madrid 2026 will take place just two days after the Madrid Grand Prix, the first Formula 1 race held in the Spanish capital in more than 40 years.
Parker leads F1’s communications, digital and political engagement strategy, and joined the sport after a career in UK government communications, including advising the Foreign Secretary and serving as Head of Press for the Governor of the Bank of England.
He will be the first of a handful of Formula 1 speakers still to be announced. At WFS Madrid, they will discuss the Madrid Grand Prix itself, as well as the wider transformation the sport has undergone since Liberty Media’s acquisition in 2016: its fast-growing audience in the United States, its content strategy, including the Drive to Survive documentary series and F1® The Movie, starring Brad Pitt, its approach to fan engagement, and its use of technology.
WFS Madrid 2026 will bring together more than 150 speakers on 15-16 September at La Nave, Madrid, marking the tenth anniversary of World Football Summit.
