World Football Summit announces the launch of WFS London, ‘the season’s business fixture’ for UK football

World Football Summit (WFS) is launching its first event in the UK. WFS London will take place on 10 and 11 March 2027 at Fulham Pier, in Craven Cottage, home of Fulham FC, and will put clubs, leagues, governing bodies, brands, investors and media from across the UK game and beyond on the same pitch for two days of networking and debate.

After ten years connecting the football industry across the world, World Football Summit comes to the city where the modern game was officially born. In fact, the announcement coincides with the anniversary of the meeting at the Freemasons’ Tavern in Great Queen Street, where the Football Association was founded on 26 October 1863, widely regarded as the founding moment of modern football.

WFS London lands at a decisive moment for the UK game. The Independent Football Regulator’s first licensing window for the top five tiers of the English men’s game closes two weeks before the event. The Premier League and the EFL are negotiating a new distribution model, 2026-27 is the first season under the Premier League’s Squad Cost Ratio, and new owners, investment models and multi-club structures continue to arrive across every tier. The WSL has expanded to 14 clubs, the UK is the sole bidder for the 2035 FIFA Women’s World Cup and EURO 2028 is on the horizon.

Hosted in partnership with AIX Capital, WFS London will gather senior executives from clubs, leagues and governing bodies across the football pyramid, in the men’s and women’s game and all four nations, together with brands, investors, agencies, tech platforms and media, and international companies from across the global football industry.

World Football Summit is the leading meeting point for the global football industry. Founded in 2016, it has organised 34 events in 11 countries across four continents, with speakers including FIFA President Gianni Infantino, UEFA Vice-President Laura McAllister, LALIGA President Javier Tebas, Pierluigi Collina, Chairman of the FIFA Referees Committee, Reddit and Angel City FC co-founder Alexis Ohanian, Kynisca founder Michele Kang, Ronaldo Nazário and former England captain Rio Ferdinand.

Jan Alessie, Co-Founder and Managing Director of World Football Summit, said: “We are delighted to bring World Football Summit to London, the capital of world football. For ten years, our platform has given every part of the industry a place at the same table, from clubs, leagues and federations to brands, investors and media. Now we want to set that table for British football, one of the great engines of our industry, at such an important moment for the game. We are confident WFS London will become an unmissable fixture in the calendar and take its place among the many great traditions of British football.”

Speakers and further programme details will be announced in the coming weeks.
